Ramsell Correctional Application (RCA) provides a complete turnkey solution to automate the Pre- Release/Discharge Planning Process. Ramsell will build, validate and maintain a network of Community Based Organizations (CBOs) in order to increase the likelihood of parolee/probationer success, improve post release continuity of care and reduce overall program costs.

Integrating RCA prior to release, the Pre- Release/Discharge Planning team collaborates with the inmate to create a needs assessment specific to that inmate’s requirements for healthcare, housing, employment, substance abuse, mental health and other social services.

This electronic document is then mapped against the available Community Based Organizations (CBO’s) to determine the best match for that inmate. A discharge plan is created that identifies the inmate’s needs and matches them to the specific organizations identified to address them.

Using RCA’s built-in workflow management capabilities, the Pre- Release/Discharge Planning team can schedule appointments with the appropriate CBOs. With RCA’s comprehensive reporting capability, there is visibility into when those appointments are set, whether those appointments were met, what services were provided and whether or not the discharge plan has been adhered to.

Post-Release RCA can be used as a case management tool that can extend to probation and parole to assist in the supervision of the offender to help reduce recidivism rates and promote public safety.

RCA creates a permanent electronic discharge record that can be leveraged by sanctioned stakeholders should the parolee return to the system in the future. The intake team does not have to recreate an inmate’s treatment and needs history, using RCA – a permanent record already exists.
